All last week I was blatantly ignoring the fact that this week had "Impending Doom" written all over it. I knew it was coming but I chose to completely ignore it and live in sweet ignorant bliss as long as I could. Then Sunday morning hit and this week actually began. It's one of those weeks that I have so much going on that I am afraid to do my "to-do" list because I'm afraid of what will actually be on it.
Reluctantly, while Breanne and I were stuck in the car for almost 2 hours we decided to buckle down and actually make the list. What is making this week so crazy you may ask? Breanne and I are leaving on Friday morning at 5:30 AM to go to Venezuela with our church on a Mission trip! We are super excited about going, but there are so many things to get done before we go that we are having trouble grasping the fact that we are about to leave the country for 11 days. It hardly seems real.
So... the to do list is as follows...
Get Car seat for Gramma
Laundry
Buy dog food
Buy food for Julia for while we are gone
Pack (The most daunting of all tasks)
Buy mini snickers and strawberry frosted poptarts
Buy a small travel fan
Make a first aid kit
Breanne's work billing
Close pampered chef shows before we leave
Create Venezuela Team Facebook page- DONE!!
Pick up items from Missionaries parents in Chatham
Pictures for Grandparents Calendar for August
Print family picture w/ frame for host family in Venezuela
Clean Guest room
Mow yard
etc... etc... etc...
The list goes on and on! Add on the fact that Breanne had Pampered Chef parties yesterday and today and two birthday parties tomorrow and Thursday and we are going crazy!! (These are both great things, they just add to the craziness) I forsee a lot of late bed times for us this week. The last two nights we were up until 1:30!
Sunday night we were up so late because we were shampooing our carpets because one of our dogs exploded in the dining room. It was disgusting and I will spare you the details.
Anyway.... I do believe that we can slay this giant. I just can't promise that there won't be any casualties along the way.
In other news... If you want to receive updates about how our trip is going, look up our facebook group SSCC Venezuela Missions Team. I believe we will have internet access and hopefully will be able to update regularly throughout our trip! And we can strike at least one thing off of our list!
